Handbell practices have now stopped until after the Summer holidays

 

Thanks you all for coming tonight. Practice was brilliant. 10 in the tower for the second week. Great to have scope for stand behinders, and great to welcome Phil who joins Chris as a Sunday ringer.

Hensingham ringers are moving forward thanks to you all

Yup I slaved away finished trimming up the stay and fitting the dingle. Refitted the spliced rope and adjusted the other ropes to shift the wear away from the garter holes. A VERY worthwhile nights’ work

another good night at Hensingham. Entertainment was supplied by Chris and Gordon. Chris doesn’t know her own strength, and I thought it was Phil that overpulled. Good news is that the rope has been spliced with a polypropalene top end. It should last a good while. Next job is to repair the stay that broke when Gordon lost concentration while Chris was snake charming with her Sally!
